Ahmedabad’s Iskcon Circle will soon have a major transformation as the city’s famed Gulmohar Mall is being demolished to make way for a new multi-use skyscraper. The Rs 1,000 crore project will stand 162 meters tall.
The new development will feature 38 to 40 floors, with the lower 19 floors dedicated to commercial spaces and retail. A clubhouse will be located on the 20th floor, separating the commercial and residential zones. The upper floors will house 40 luxury residential units, priced between Rs 14 crore and Rs 28 crore, making them some of the most expensive apartments in the city.
Gulmohar Mall, built in 2007, occupies a 10,081 square yard plot. The site has seen two previous transformations: originally home to 24 bungalows in the 1980s, it was later redeveloped into the mall. The mall is now being demolished to make room for this ambitious skyscraper project.
The developers have received initial clearances and are awaiting final government approvals before applying for RERA registration. The skyscraper is set to redefine Ahmedabad’s skyline and urban landscape.
