Amid the cold spell in Gujarat, the Meteorological Department has predicted cold and unseasonal rains in the next six days. Thunderstorms are predicted in more than 15 districts of Saurashtra, north and south Gujarat till December 28, adding to the concerns of farmers of the state.
After that, there is a possibility of dry weather in the state from December 29 to 31.
According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, rains are predicted in the state from tomorrow to December 28. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains with thundershowers in scattered places of Kutch, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, and Valsad districts on December 26-27.
While on December 28, the department predicted light to moderate rains at scattered places in Amreli, Bhavnagar of Saurashtra and Navsari, Tapi, Dang, and Valsad districts of South Gujarat.
While till the end of this month, i.e. from December 29 to 31, there is a possibility of dry weather in the state.
In the last 24 hours in the state, 8.5°C was recorded in Naliya, 9.7°C in Amreli, 9.8°C in Rajkot, 12.6°C in Surendranagar, 13°C in Gandhinagar, 14°C in Vadodara, 15°C in Ahmedabad, 16.4°C in Vallabh Vidhya Nagar.
