Dr. Arvind Sharma, a globally renowned Ahmedabad-based neurologist and stroke expert, has been appointed as President of the Society of Neurosonology (SON) during the organisation’s 8th Annual Conference, which took place in Kochi on December 21 and 22, and brought together leading minds in neurosonology worldwide.
Dr. Sharma’s appointment recognises his exceptional contributions to Neurosonology and stroke care. A pioneer in the field, he has played a pivotal role in advancing diagnostic and therapeutic practices, significantly enhancing patient outcomes worldwide.
In addition to his new role, Dr. Sharma serves as Secretary of the Indian Stroke Association (ISA), Member of the Board of Directors of the World Stroke Organization, Executive Member of the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN), and Director of Brain Heart Foundation.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Sharma said, “I am deeply honoured to lead the Society of Neurosonology.
