The IMD, in its latest forecast, said, ‘Cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Kutch district’ until 8:30 AM IST on 19/12/2024.

Meanwhile, as per today’s weather report at 8:30 AM, several regions are experiencing below-normal temperatures, with areas like Gandhinagar, Rajkot, and Surat reporting significant drops. In Gandhinagar, the minimum temperature stands at 9°C, which is 3°C below the normal range. Meanwhile, in Rajkot, the temperature has dropped to 10.8°C, 3.3°C below normal. In Ahmedabad, the minimum temperature has dropped to 11.8°C, 1.8°C lower than usual, while Baroda recorded 12.2°C, also below normal. Surat’s minimum temperature stands at 15.4°C.

With the cold wave expected to last until at least December 19, temperatures in the northern and western parts of Gujarat may continue to hover at or below normal.
