Recent developments in Aleppo, where insurgents have captured key installations, have drawn renewed attention to a dire prophecy made by Baba Vanga, the late Bulgarian clairvoyant. Known as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans,” Vanga had foretold that the fall of Syria would mark the beginning of a catastrophic global war. With insurgents seizing Aleppo’s international airport and nearby regions, her unsettling predictions resonate more than ever.
Insurgents Take Control of Aleppo’s Strategic Assets
According to reports from the Daily Star, militants led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham launched a surprise offensive last week, claiming control of Aleppo International Airport and much of the city. This marks the first time insurgents have overtaken such a significant transport hub in the region.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, corroborated the seizure, with insurgents sharing images online to display their newly captured arsenal. The weaponry, largely Russian-made, has been showcased on Telegram by members of the militant group, further fuelling tensions.
Vanga’s Prophetic Words on Syria’s Collapse
Before her death in 1996, Baba Vanga predicted that Syria’s fall would act as a precursor to a global conflict. She warned, “As soon as Syria falls, expect a great war between the West and the East. In the spring, a war in the East will begin, and there will be a Third World War. A war in the East that will destroy the West.”
