The Food and Drug Control Administration (FDCA) on Wednesday conducted a raid at a manufacturing firm in the Banaskantha district, and seized duplicate Amul ghee and vegetable fat worth over Rs 74,000. During the raid, the authorities seized about 89 kilograms of duplicate Amul ghee, and 53 kilograms of vegetable fat.
Business operator Prakash Amritlal Gurjar was found to be manufacturing, storing, and selling ghee without the required food licence.
The firm had been using labels of the Amul brand, producing and packaging the counterfeit product.
