Miraj Shah (in picture) has completed his MBBS from the prestigious BJ Medical College. With his superlative performance, Miraj had secured admission offers from the world’s 11 prestigious universities, including Harvard University.
On November 14, Miraj discussed his plans with his family, confirming his decision to study at the George Washington University and went to his room. Later, when his mother went to call him for lunch, she found his door locked and no response despite several knocks. Upon breaking in, the family found Miraj hanging from the ceiling. No suicide note was found from the room. The incident has not only left his family devastated but has shocked the entire community.
Miraj, who lived with his family in Umra in Surat, was always an exceptional student. He topped his medical exams and scored an unpeesun sive 99.97 percentile in the Common Entrance Test (CAF) last year, making him a top contender for IIM Ahmedabad. However, his passion was in public health and epidemiology led him to focus on further studies in this field.
His academic achievements earned him invitations from renowned institutions like Harvard, George Washington University, New York Medical College, and several others all offering him spots in their public health programs. However, just as his future was set to shine. tragedy struck
