Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2024 to start on November 30th

The annual literary event of the city, formerly known as the Ahmedabad National Book Fair, has been rebranded as the Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2024. The festival will run from November 30 to December 8 at the Event Centre, Sabarmati Riverfront, and promises a diverse lineup of events for all age groups.

Highlights include Shabd Samsara – Authors’ Corner, Pragya Shivir – Children’s Pavilion, Gyaan Ganga – Creative Writing Workshop for Youth, a Children’s Film Festival, and a Culinary Literature Stage. Additionally, interactive workshops and storytelling sessions will also take place during the book fair. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet their favorite authors, as author interactions and book signings will be part of the event. This global platform aims to captivate book lovers, writers, and families alike with not just books and literature but also cultural events and performances.

The festival will be open daily from 11 am to 9 pm. According to the National Book Trust website, the event will feature over 100 exhibitors with more than 250 stalls. As many as 70 events are scheduled to take place during the nine-day festival.

With free entry, the festival is expected to attract many book lovers. To further encourage participation, a 10% discount on books will be offered by the National Book Trust.
