Mahindra, Amazon emerge as largest recruiters with 8 offers to PGP students
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) on Friday held the second cluster of the summer placement for the PGP and the Food and Agribusiness Management (FABM) class of 2026.
According to IIMA placement committee, recruiters offered 53 roles to PGP students. In these roles, Mahindra from the “Conglomerates” cohort and Amazon from the “Retail B2B & Retail E-commerce” cohort were the largest recruiters with eight offers each.
In FABM, officials said that over 39 companies from various sectors offered internships to 47 students in the first year of the course in a sin- gle-day hybrid mode on Friday.
For PGP, the firms that participated in Cluster 2 comprised seven cohorts including “Conglomerates”, “Retail B2B & Retail E-commerce”, “Consumer Goods”, “Consumer Durables”, and “Pharmaceuticals & Health Care”.
Mahindra and Amazon were followed by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) from the “Consumer Goods” cohort which made seven offers. Sun Pharmaceuticals, Lodha Ventures and Aditya Birla Group were next with six offers each. Airtel was the largest recruiter in the “Consumer Services” cohort making 3 offers.
“We witnessed a rise in the participation of firms visiting for the first time in summers. This included GMR Group, Bharti Enterprises, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Bharat Serum Vaccine, Michelin India, Sony, Welspun Living, United Breweries (Heineken), and Zydus Wellness. New-age startup Trampoline Store also visited for the first time making two offers for its Founder’s Office role, officials at IIMA said.
