The Craft Council of Gujarat successfully conducted a two-day national symposium on natural dyes on the topic ‘From Soil to Style’ that brought together artisans, researchers, students, and Industry professionals.
The diverse participation facilitated an enriching dialogue on the significance, challenges, and future potential of natural dyes within sustainable and cultural practices, giving highlights on the importance of natural dyes beyond a craft tradition.
The speakers who led sessions at the symposium included Madan Meena, Dr Bosco Henriques, Aarti Munnappa, Rajendra Joshi, Dr Ismall Khatri, Kavin Mehta, Tanya Vaidya and Archana Shah. The symposium was organised in association with the Gujarat University’s Centre for Professional Courses.
