Gota, Chandlodia, Ghatlodia, Bodakdev, Jodhpur, Paldi Naranpura, Navrangpura, Vasna etc to be affected
Water supply in 18 wards of the West, Northwest and Southwest zones of the city will be affected on Monday and Tuesday as the Jaspur Water Treatment Plant will be closed on Monday from 8 am to 4 pm for technical reasons.
The plant does not have any issue but it needs to be shut for maintenance work by the GEB. Because of this, water supply will be affected on the morning of October 22, depending on the available reserves.
Sources mentioned that since the plant will be shut, water from the Narmada canal cannot be treated. The treatment process will start after the plant resumes operation at 4 pm on Monday, and water will be supplied through the mainline to the three zones. However, Gota, Chandlodia, Ghatlodia, Bodakdev, and Thaltej in the Northwest zone and Makhtampura, Vejalpur, Sarkhej, and Jodhpur in the Southwest zone, along with Vasna, Paldi, Naranpura, Navrangpura, Stadium, Ranip, Nava Vadaj, Sabarmati, and Chandkheda in the West zone are likely to experience low pressure and insufficient water supply as the tanks in these areas will be nearly empty.
