The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), as many as 117 students out of total 130 who participated in the process received job offers. The highest salary secured is Rs 19.8 lakh per annum, while the median salary is Rs16 lakh per annum.
The highest pay offered this year remains the same as last year, while median pay has registered a marginal increase from Rs 15.40 lakh per annum last year. The 2024 batch received 31 pre-placement offers (PPOs) and 35 Day Zero offers.
Total 68 per cent students are placed in law firms, 13 per cent in litigation, 11 per cent in corporate houses, 3 per cent in government undertakings, 2 per cent each in IP firms and consultancy and one per cent in academia.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas led the recruitment among law firms, hiring 17 students. Khaitan & Co. followed with 11 hires, Trilegal with 10, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan with six and both Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and IndusLaw with five each.
Among the companies, Adani Group led the recruitment, hiring seven students. GILP-Nation with Namo, Hero Motocorp and ICICI Bank recruited two students each.
Ten students from the batch have been provided financial aid through the GNLU Litigation Assistance & Support Scheme (GLASS), officials at GNLU said. One has also been selected for PRS India’s Legislative Assistant to the Member of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship.
