Five students from the Electronics and Communication (EC) Engineering Department at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, have been selected for six-month internship with Google’s hardware engineering division.
The students were selected during a campus recruitment drive by Google at the university. According to varsity officials, these students will receive stipend of Rs 1.25 lakh a month, with an opportunity to work full-time with Google if they successfully complete the internship period.
The students are Lipsa Barad, Krish Desai, Vinit Arora, Vedanti Patel and Rhythm Shah. Google (hardware engineering) had conducted a campus recruitment drive specifically for students of Nirma University. “The students will undertake a six-month internship with Google (hardware engineering) during the final semester of their EC engineering studies.
They will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1.25 lakh throughout the internship. Upon successful completion, they will be offered full-time employment opportunities in various electronics divisions at Google,” the official note from the institute states.
