One side of the Nirnaynagar underpass will be closed for two weeks as the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) began repair work on Friday. Following this, repairs will also take place at the Akhbarnagar underpass and the Prabodh Raval Bridge. The entire repair process is expected to take 30 days, during which commuters may experience traffic congestion.
Detours will be arranged as necessary, and drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays. The structural beams and iron mesh of the stormwater drainage systems at both the Nirnaynagar and Akhbarnagar underpasses have deteriorated, making repairs essential. Furthermore, the expansion joint and surface layer of the Prabodh Raval Bridge near the RTO Circle have worn down. The AMC has requested that heavy vehicles take alternate routes and urged other drivers to proceed at reduced speeds during the repairs.
