Many major routes like SP Ring Road, SG Highway, and 132 Feet Ring Road, leading to popular Garba venues, experience heavy traffic during the festival. Over-speeding bikers often put themselves and others at risk, and incidents involving intoxicated individuals causing disturbances are not uncommon. This year, the police aim to curb such problems with stronger measures.

Traffic Police have planned to deploy over 1,000 traffic officers to prevent any unwanted incidents during Navratri. The arrangements will be in place from 9 PM until late night, covering key strategic points.

The extra precautions will be taken on SP Ring Road, SG Highway, and 132 Feet Road owing to Garba events there. Police have identified 20 biker control points and stationed 10 interceptors at these locations. To catch those driving under the influence, 197 breath analyzers have been issued.

Eighteen towing vans for cars and scooters each will be deployed to tow away improperly parked vehicles.
