AMC introduces special vans to collect and recycle religious waste
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has launched “Dharmik Pujapa Nirmalya Collection Vans” to collect religious waste, including flowers, decorations, coconut shells, and old religious images. The initiative, led by AMC’s Solid Waste Department, is designed to ensure the respectful disposal and recycling of such waste, promoting city cleanliness.
Additionally, the AMC has installed dedicated dustbins near temples for the collection of prasad boxes, facilitating proper disposal and recycling where applicable.

As Navratri approaches, Law Garden Market, a popular shopping hub, is experiencing frequent traffic jams due to illegal parking and an influx of shoppers. Many visitors are calling for the area to be declared a “no vehicle zone” for the next 10-20 days to ease congestion and improve the shopping experience.
