Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his home state of Gujarat on the 16th and 17th of September. During the visit, he will address a public meeting at GMDC Grounds near He lmet Crossroads. Regarding this, the city police commissioner has issued a notification for September 16, imposing a vehicle ban near the GMDC ground, close to Helmet Crossroads. The restriction will be in effect from 10 a.m. until the event concludes on Monday.
vehicular movement will be restricted on routes connecting NFD Crossroads to Saibaba Crossroads, Gurukul T-Junction, Helmet Crossroads, Blind People’s Association (BPA) Crossroads, and Sanjivani Hospital near Vastrapur Lake.
Police advised motorists to use alternative routes. For those heading towards Helmet Crossroads from NFD Circle, the route through Judges Bungalow Crossroads, Keshavbaug T-Junction, Dada Saheb Pagla, BPA Crossroads, Panjrapol Crossroads, and Vijay Crossroads can be used. Vehicles bound for AEC Crossroads should take the route via Gurudwara Crossroads, Thaltej Crossroads, Hebatpur Crossroads, and Sattadhar Crossroads. Traffic from Sai Baba Crossroads can pass through Surdhara Circle, Swami Vivekanand Circle, and Sola Crossroads.
