The redevelopment work of Kalupur Junction in the city is underway, leading the city police commissioner to announce the closure of a key road leading to the railway station for a period of three years. Amid the road closure, the BRTS, a public transport unit of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, has announced alternate routes for the BRTS bus service.
As per the press note issued by the Executive Director of Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited, a subsidiary of AMC, there will be changes in BRTS bus services (routes) as detailed below. These changes will take effect from September 11, 2024. Citizens are requested to take note and cooperate.
The press note states that a total of 7 BRTS routes will be affected, namely Route No. 2 (SP Ring Road – Bhadaj Circle), Route No. 8 (Naroda Gam – Iscon Crossroads), Route No. 7 (Narol to Zundal Circle), Route No. 14 (Naroda Gam to Sanand Circle), Route No. 101, Route No. 201 (RTO Anti Circular), and Route No. 18 (Civil Hospital – Kalupur).
According to the notification from police commissioner’s office, one side of a 200-meter stretch of road from Sarangpur Circle to Kalupur railway station will be closed to traffic from September 11, 2024, to September 10, 2027, while the opposite lane will be converted to a one-way road.
