The AMC health department inspected multiple medical clinics across the city on Friday. During the inspections, 10 individuals were found practicing medicine without valid degrees, and their clinics were sealed. On August 22, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had already sealed two clinics for similar violations, bringing the total number of clinics sealed to 12.
The department found practitioners at these clinics administering IV fluids and allopathic injections without proper qualifications, posing health risks to patients.
As a result, they sealed three clinics in Sarkhej, three in Odhav, two in Lambha, and one each in Chandkheda and Saraspur. The AMC shut down Patil’s Clinic, Shanti Clinic, and Odhav Clinic in Odhav, a private clinic in Chandkheda, and a skin clinic in Saraspur’s Emmanuel Society. Additionally, Jagat Holistic Health Centre and Shri Ram Clinic in Lambha, along with Shama Clinic, Anas Clinic, and Morax Clinic in Sarkhej, were closed for lacking valid allopathic degrees.
