The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced that it will construct a new food court at Vastrapur Lake Garden in the city. The food court will be built on the amphitheater site within Vastrapur Lake.
Given that the amphitheater has not been used much, the space will be repurposed to accommodate around 55 stalls, which will be leased, with preference given to those who currently run food lorries outside Vastrapur Lake. Additionally, changes will be made to the re-development plan of the lake, including the construction of a strong RCC beam grid structure to address the slope of the lake. The civic body will spend an additional Rs. 7 crore on these modifications and the construction of the food court.
