A fire broke out in the basement of Planet Earth in the Science City on Tuesday evening. Smoke from the fire engulfed the surroundings, and around 40 people were evacuated by the Science City administration. The fire department was informed and dispatched three fire tenders to the scene.
The team from Thaltej Fire Station extinguished the fire in around half an hour by pouring water. During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that a short circuit in the air conditioner led to the fire. As soon as the fire was reported, the management closed Science City to visitors and cordoned off the area around Planet Earth. No casualties have been reported in the fire accident.
