During an event held at the banquet hall of the Hyatt, an attendee found an insect in the sambhar served at the buffet. Following this, a complaint was filed with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Acting on the complaint, the health department team of the city civic body has sealed the kitchen of the five-star hotel for the next 48 hours. The AMC team has also issued a notice to the hotel’s pest control officer, stating that punitive action will be taken if the kitchen is opened without AMC orders.
There have been several incidents of insects being found in cafes and eateries; however, this time, an insect was found in a five-star hotel, which is considered more hygienic by customers.
