The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted more heavy rain over the next five days, until July 22nd, and has issued red and orange alerts for some districts.
For the next 24 hours, a red alert is in place for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka, and Gir Somnath, as extremely heavy rainfall is forecasted.
Additionally, very heavy rain is predicted for Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Botad, Kutch, and Diu, and these places are under orange alert.
