Students from Vivekanand College in Raipur have been studying outdoors because the college has been sealed by the estate department for the past two months. They cannot access classrooms, so they are studying on the roadside as the seal remains unopened.
Students at the college expressed concerns that many middle and lower-income students depend on this college for their education. Despite the harsh weather conditions, students continue to study outside. They urged authorities to reopen the college for the students’ benefit.
A college professor mentioned that the estate department briefly opened the college during the UPSC exams but promptly resealed it afterward. With the academic session underway and students enrolled, the college’s closure is severely impacting the education of students. This situation makes studying on the roadside as a last resort for the students and may continue if the issue persists.
