Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train stations are rapidly taking shape in Gujarat. The rail level slab of five Bullet Train stations in Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Anand, and Ahmedabad has been completed, the National High Speed Rail Corporation announced today.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor will dot 12 stations along the alignment of 508 km. Gujarat will have eight (08) stations starting from Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, and Vapi and four (04) in Maharashtra i.e. Boisar, Virar, Thane, and Mumbai.
The construction work on Bullet Train stations all along the alignment is progressing rapidly. The foundation work on all 8 stations in Gujarat is completed and the construction of superstructures is at an advanced stage.
The stations on the corridor will have all modern and advanced facilities and amenities for passengers. There will be ticketing and waiting areas, business-class lounge, nursery, restrooms, smoking rooms, information booths, retail centres and public information and announcement system. Moreover, some stations will be developed as a transport hub through integration with all basic modes of transportation for better, faster and hassle-free connectivity to and from the station, such as autos, buses and taxis.
