Fifty-seven golfers teed off in the sixth round of the Gulmohar Golfer of the Year (GGOY) 2024 tournament. Played at Gulmohar Green – Golf and Country Club as part of the MP Financial Services-Go Golf 2024 calendar, GGOY is one of the prominent golfing tournaments of Ahmedabad.
SP Singh emerged as the winner in the 0-14 handicap category with 80 gross and 40 points, just edging out eventual runner-up Ravi Shah, who notched up 81 gross and 38 points.
KBS Samyal was the winner in the 15-23 handicap category with 86 gross and 41 points. Vishal Desai was the category runner-up with 85 gross and 39 points.
Hiren Thakkar won in the 24 and above handicap category with 94 gross and 42 points. Hemendra Sanghavi was the category runner-up with 96 gross and 41 points.
The three winners were awarded 3,000 reward points for their efforts, while the runner-ups took home 1,800 reward points. Twenty-seven golfers from the three categories earned reward points.
Devjeet Singh topped the charts in the junior category with 92 gross and 40 points, while Tvisha Patel was the runner-up with 86 gross and 38 points. They received 1,800 points and 1,200 points respectively for their efforts.
