An epidemic has surged in Ahmedabad at the transition from summer to monsoon, with more than 65 cases of diarrhea and vomiting reported daily.
The eastern part of the city, including areas such as Bahrampura, Daryapur, Naroda, Danilimda, Vatwa, Lambha, Rakhiyal, and Gomtipur, is the most affected.
In June, 89 water samples failed safety tests, leading to increased cases of diarrhea, vomiting, jaundice, cholera, and typhoid.
