A dead rat was discovered in a serving of sambar at Devi Dosa restaurant in Nikol on Thursday, leading to the immediate sealing of the establishment by municipal authorities.
On spotting the dead rat, the customers promptly reported it to the restaurant’s management. Dissatisfied with the response, they informed AMC. Upon receiving the complaint, the AMC’s food department dispatched a team for inspection. Investigation revealed significant hygiene violations in the kitchen, prompting officials to seal the premises.
