Adalaj Police busted an illicit gambling hub operating at Tribecca Select Hotel located on the first floor of Balaji Agora Mall in the state capital. Nine gamblers were caught red-handed during the raid today. Cash, vehicles, mobile phones, and plastic gambling tokens worth ₹14.36 lakh were confiscated during the raid.
Police Inspector KB Sankhla led the operation against illicit activities involving domestic and foreign liquor and gambling within the jurisdiction. Acting on specific information provided to PSI PA Dodia, the police targeted Room No. 112 of Tribecca Select Hotel, operated by Dinesh alias Dinsha Kantilal Shah. During the raid, the police found the gamblers using plastic coins for gambling.
Those arrested were identified as Dinesh alias Dinsha Kantilal Shah (67), Ashish Patel (40), Dineshbhai Chavda (48), Rajendrakumar Patel (60), Jignesh Patel (38), Ghanshyambhai Patel (49), Maheshji Thakor (49), Ashvinbhai Parmar (67), and Umeshbhai Parmar (40).
The raid resulted in the recovery of ₹45,000 in cash, nine mobile phones, and 183 plastic tokens of various colors. Two four-wheelers and two bikes were also seized, totaling ₹14.36 lakh in confiscated assets. Legal actions have been initiated against all arrested individuals involved in the gambling operation.
