A proposal to build Amdavad Haat on a plot adjacent to the YMCA Club on SG Highway will be presented at the Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) standing committee meeting today. The proposed shopping site will be developed at a cost of Rs. 8.80 crore.
The AMC’s budget for 2024–25 includes financial provisions for Ahmedabad Haat to provide a platform for individuals interested in conducting business.
Ahmedabad Haat is expected to house two art galleries, an exhibition hall, a ticket counter, an entrance lobby, and a reception area. The interaction zone will cover 2200 m², with shops occupying 1000 m², stalls taking up 660 m², and an organic market spanning 500 m². A recreational zone will also be developed with 20 food stalls, seating arrangements, and an amphitheater.
