A large quantity of drugs was seized near the coastal areas of Devbhumi Dwarka on June 17. In various areas around Dwarka, specifically in Vacchu, Gorinja, and Chandrabhaga villages along the coastal belt, a total of 64 packets of drugs worth approximately ₹34.37 crore have been recovered.
The police have conducted extensive investigations and seized 64.727 kg of high-quality drugs.
In just the last ten days, coastal areas of Saurashtra-Kutch have witnessed a rampant seizure of around 115 packets of charas or drugs which are estimated to be worth ₹ 61,86,35,000 (₹61.86 cr).
Following this incident, Nitesh Pandey, SP, Devbhumi Dwarka, have launched comprehensive patrolling, checking, and search operations across the entire coastal belt.
Subsequently, significant quantities of drugs have been seized from different locations within the coastal belt, including the recovery of large amounts in Gorinja and Chandrabhaga villages.
According to police, the recent seizure involved 64 packets of drugs, which were found to be in an unclaimed state.
Various police units, including special investigation team (SOG), local crime branch (LCB), and Meethapur police, have been actively engaged in operations across different directions.
There have been raised concerns about the involvement of antisocial elements in this large-scale drug trafficking from Devbhumi.
Further intensifying their efforts, the police have deployed drone patrols and surveillance to conduct extensive inspections and recommendations in the coastal regions.
Moreover, they have visited various villages in Okha Mandal’s coastal areas, interacting with local residents to gather further information on the matter.
