A major fire erupted at a fabric godown after a blast in the Danilimda area of the city. Over 15 fire tenders are at the spot carrying out operations to douse the fire.
A fierce blaze erupted in the godown of Kohinoor Creation Private Limited located in the Danilimda area. The godown primarily stores packed clothes, and the fire intensified due to the nearby leafy cover. Situated adjacent to a residential area and more than 10 other godowns, the fire spread to neighboring structures. Thick smoke is visible up to one kilometer away.
More than 18 fire tender vehicles and 70 fire tenders have been deployed to extinguish the flames. The narrow roads and leafy sheds surrounding the area have posed challenges in controlling the fire. Firefighters have also utilized a fire robot in their efforts to douse the blaze.
