The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is building three new bridges at Nikol, Dastan, and Tapovan Circle (junction) on the Sardar Patel Ring Road. The construction work for the bridge construction is scheduled to commence soon.
The construction of PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete) roads on both sides and bridges over Nikol, Dastan, and Tapovan Circle (junction) will require traffic diversion during this period. The Additional Collector of Ahmedabad, in a notification today, stated that the work is likely to last for 45 days.
Therefore, restrictions and diversions have been implemented for traffic movement during this time.
The Sardar Patel Ring Road, spanning 76 kilometers, encircles the city of Ahmedabad, constructed by the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA), it is a toll road inaugurated in 2004, with construction expenses amounting to ₹355 crore (₹3.55 billion). This thoroughfare intersects the Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway at one juncture and traverses the Sabarmati River and the Mumbai-Delhi National Highway on two occasions.
