Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner, G S Malik, has announced strict measures to maintain law and order and ensure smooth counting on June 4.
The commissioner’s directive has prohibited the use of cellular or mobile phones, cordless phones, wireless sets, or any other electronic communication devices into the counting stations, their compounds, or within a 200-metre radius surrounding the countingstations. This ban is aimed at preventing any potential disruptions in the counting process.
The directive states that no vehicles will be permitted for driving or parking within the polling station areas. Moreover, carrying or using matchboxes, lighters, gas lighters, or other flammable materials is strictly forbidden within these zones.The votes will be counted at Gujarat College in Ellisbridge and L D College of Engineering in Gujarat University.
