IndiGo Introduces Safety Feature for Female Passengers during Web Check-in

IndiGo, a leading airline in India, has unveiled a groundbreaking feature aimed at enhancing the comfort and safety of female passengers during their travels. This new feature, incorporated into the web check-in process, allows female travelers to identify seats pre-booked by other female passengers.

Business News

In a statement, the airline highlighted, “The feature offers visibility of seats booked by female passengers only during web check-in. It is specifically tailored to PNRs with women travelers — solo as well as part of family bookings… (this is) currently in pilot mode aligning with our ‘girl power’ ethos.”

This innovative initiative empowers female travelers, especially those flying solo, to select seats adjacent to other female passengers, providing an additional layer of security and comfort. Prior to its implementation, the airline conducted comprehensive market research to ensure that it effectively addresses the needs of its female clientele.

In addition to this pioneering safety feature, IndiGo has also announced an enticing sale on both domestic and international flights. With fares starting at an all-inclusive price of INR 1,199/-, the sale period extends from May 29 to May 31, 2024, for travel between July 01 and September 30, 2024. Furthermore, customers can avail themselves of an exclusive discount of up to 20% on preferred seat selection charges, enhancing their travel experience with added savings and convenience.
