Now, The police are intensively searching for her and her two daughters to ensure their safety.
Family torn apart by violence
According to the FIR filed by Rahul Maheshwari, 32, from Madhapar, Bhuj—a region noted for its substantial NRI community and their contributions to local development—his wife Priyanka, originally from Rajasthan, has been identified as the perpetrator.
The couple, who married in October 2013, have two daughters, currently 9 and 4 years of age. The incident came to light on May 10 when a disturbing video went viral on social media, showing a woman assaulting a child with a metal tool while gripping her neck.
Maheshwari identified the assailant as his wife and the victim as their younger daughter. The FIR recounts a distressing day when a minor mishap involving spilled cooking oil led Priyanka to attack their child violently. Maheswari told police that his wife was a headstrong woman and would always fight with him and also occasionally beat him.
Police have registered a complaint under the Juvenile Justice Act and also Section 323 of the IPC against mother.
