A drunk driver rammed into the car of a couple on Sindhu Bhavan Road (SBR), while they were returning home from a birthday party. Harsh Thakkar was on a drive with her wife to celebrate her birthday. When they had stopped at the red signal on the Shilp Circle, a man identified as Raj Purohit, rammed into Thakkar’s car from behind. Rajpurohit was found in an inebriated state. N Division traffic police later arrested the driver.
In another road accident, one Vivek Pradeep was passing by the sports complex on the RiverFront Road when a child rushed onto the road. To save the child, Vivek turned his car and rammed into a divider. Given the strong impact, his car tumbled on to the opposite side of the road uprooting the street light
