The looming Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat have significantly impacted infrastructure initiatives in Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has chosen to delay crucial decisions regarding several project tenders, such as those pertaining to flyovers, until after May 7th.
This deferral also includes extending the deadline for the Rs. 51.70 crore tender concerning the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of the Hatkeshwar flyover. Additionally, plans for constructing a new bridge parallel to the Chimanbhai Patel Bridge, initially slated for April 2024, have been put on hold.
