The city police on Sunday seized 89 bottles of popular Amrut brand of whiskey from the home and vehicle of a supplier and his associate in Bodakdev.
Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB) PI Mitesh Caudhary said they have nabbed Satish Joshi, 28, who was engaged in delivering costly brands at the customers’ doorsteps. Amrut Single Malt is produced in South India and has gained global recognition. It was among the first single malt whiskies to be produced in India. The whisky is sold at Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per 750 ml bottle.
