In the latest bureaucrat reshuffle in the state before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the home department has transferred and promoted 35 IPS officers of the state.
Promotions have been allocated to the state’s top officers, including Manoj Agarwal, GS Malik, Dr KLN Rao, and Hasmukh Patel, who have been promoted to the charge of director general of police (DGP).
Other officers allocated various charges include Narashimha Komar, Anupam Singh Gahlaut, Brajesh Kumar Jha, Wabang Jamir, Ajay Kumar Choudhary, Abhay Chudasama, SG Trivedi, JR Mothaliya, Prem Vir Singh, Nilesh Jajadia, Bipin Ahire, Sharad Singhal, Chirag Koradia, PL Mal, ML Ninama, NN Chaudhari, AG Chauhan, RV Asari, KN Damor, Jaipalsingh Rathore, Dr Leena Patil, Sweta Shrimali, Nirlipt Rai, Dipakkumar Meghani, Mahendra Bagria, Sunil Joshi, Dr Tarun Duggal, Om Prakash Jat, Shivam Verma, and Imtiyaz Shaikh.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has also been notified regarding these transfers.
It is noteworthy that earlier eight IPS and 65 DySPs of the state were transferred. These transfers included eight Gujarat cadre 2021 IPS officers, who were entrusted with the responsibility of additional superintendent of police (ASP) after completing their training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
