As the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) exams were conducted across the state from Mar 11 to 26, the evaluation of answer sheets for the same has been concluded on Apr 10.
The much-awaited results are seen to be released for the Class 12 Science stream around Apr 25, and in the first week of May for Classes 10 and 12 general streams.
More than 81 lakh answer sheets have been checked till now by over 65,000 teachers. Data processing and final reviews are going to take some more time.
Out of a total of 82.20 lakh answer sheets, 46.45 lakh answer sheets for Class 10 were checked this year. More than 5.45 lakh answer sheets for Class 12 science and 29.30 lakh answer sheets for Class 12 general stream were checked.
The answer sheets have been checked at all the central assessment centres. The board had deployed around 67,000 teachers for evaluation duties. Many teachers who did not fulfil their required duties were issued notices as per the rules.
The evaluation work started on Mar 16 and is speculated to be completed a few days early with more assessment centres and teachers. This will also allow the board to release Class 10 and 12 results at the earliest, keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
