The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) today shared the monthly progress video of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet Train Project for March 2024.
In the video, NHSRCL shared that work on the BKC Underground Station is underway in Mumbai, while foundation work is in progress in Thane and Palghar districts of Maharashtra. Upon entering Gujarat, NHSRCL achieved the breakthrough of the First Mountain Tunnel for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. The tunnel is located approximately 1 km away from Zaroli Village in Umbergaon Taluka, Valsad district of Gujarat. Moving forward, work is progressing for the Valsad Station and viaducts of the high-speed rail corridors. NHSRCL has also erected a bridge over the Auranga River.
In Navsari District, work on viaducts and the Bilimora Bullet Train Station is progressing rapidly, with superstructure work also underway. Additionally, track work is ongoing in some sections of Navsari district. The bridge over the Purna River is ready, and viaduct and noise barrier work are in progress. In Surat, viaduct work is ongoing, along with the construction of the Surat station. Well foundation work is underway for the bridge over the Tapi River in Surat, and similar work is progressing over the Narmada River in Bharuch district. The FSLM casting yard is also being established in Bharuch. In Vadodara, work is progressing for piers and viaducts in some sections, with track work commencing in others. Well foundation work at the Mahi River in the city is also in progress.
Work on viaducts and the Anand Station is underway, along with viaduct work in Kheda district. In Ahmedabad, viaduct work is ongoing, along with the construction of the Ahmedabad Bullet Train station. Additionally, well foundation work is in progress over the Sabarmati River. The passenger terminal hub at Sabarmati is nearly complete, with work on the bullet train station ongoing.
