As the road accident rates soar in Gujarat, yet another hit-and-run case has been reported from Ahmedabad, claiming a life.
A bike rider died in a hit-and-run accident that occurred behind city’s Karnavati Club on the evening of Mar 25.
The biker, Vijay Chauhan, was the husband of Rupali, a domestic help in Santossa Park near Karnavati Club.
On Mar 25, Vijay was supposed to pick Rupali up, after her work was finished.
Near Zaveri Circle behind Karnavati Club, a speeding car rammed into his bike, injuring him severely.
Identification clue – number plate
After undergoing a brief treatment at the Sola Civil Hospital in the evening, Vijay was declared dead. The number plate and bumper of the car that was involved in the accident fell on the accident scene.Using the number plate, the police have initiated action to identify the car and the car driver.
