All Regional Transport Offices (RTOs), including the Ahmedabad RTO, in the state have been experiencing server downtime for the past three days, causing significant disruption in the licencing and other processes.
The servers have been down in all RTOs in the state, resulting in the closure of driving test tracks and affecting other operations. On Sunday, RTO officials orally announced that the servers of RTO offices in the state would remain closed on Monday as well, leading to uncertainty about the driving tests for the Drivers License (DL) and leaving long queues of applicants at the RTO.
Approximately 30,000 people have been directly affected by the server glitch in the RTOs. Long queues of vehicles were observed in the RTO complexes, and applicants are uncertain whether their work will proceed as scheduled even today. The applicants have demanded immediate identification and resolution of the problem, as about 37 RTO offices have been experiencing server downtime for the past 72 hours.
