Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Dedicated Freight Corridor’s (DFC) Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad to lay the foundation stone and dedicate several railway projects worth over Rs 85,000 crore on Tuesday.
According to an official release by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), he will lay the foundation stone of railway loco sheds, workshops, pit lines/coaching depots, and the Phaltan-Baramati new line.
He will also dedicate to the nation two new sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor:
a) Between the New Khurja and Sahnewal – Eastern DFC (401 Rkm) and
b) Between New Makarpura and New Gholvad – Western DFC (244 Rkm)
10 new Vande Bharat trains
PM Modi will also flag off ten new Vande Bharat trains between Mysuru-Dr MGR Central (Chennai), Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central, Patna- Lucknow, New Jalpaiguri-Patna, Lucknow – Dehradun, Kalaburagi – Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru, Puri-Visakhapatnam, Ranchi-Varanasi, Khajuraho- Delhi (Nizamuddin), said the PMO release.
The PM will also flag off freight trains from various places – New Kishangarh, New Gholvad, New Khurja Jn, Sahnewal, New Rewari, and New Makarpura. He will also dedicate to the nation 51 Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals.
35 Rail Coach Restaurants will also be dedicated to the people by the PM. To promote local products, PM Narendra Modi will dedicate more than 1,500 One Station One Product Stalls to people.
At 975 locations, he will dedicate to the nation solar-powered stations/buildings as part of an initiative that is aimed at meeting India’s renewable energy goals while reducing the carbon footprint of the Indian Railways.
