Ramol Police have booked five people for vandalizing Rajni Gynecology Hospital in the CTM area following the death of a woman. Out of these accused three individuals, namely Asif Saiyed, Aslan Saiyed, and Shahid Afridi Ali, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A complaint filed by a doctor at Ramol police station implicated 15 people in the incident. According to the details of the case, Dr. Parth Shah, operating Rajni Gynecology Hospital in CTM for 12 years, admitted Suhana Altaf Saiyed on February 3. Sonography revealed a deceased fetus, and she delivered the stillborn without complications at 9 pm. By 11 am on February 4, she experienced bleeding, and the medical team recommended removing her uterus. Allegedly, the family refused, leading to a discharge against medical advice. The woman was transferred to SVP Hospital but died during treatment.
On Monday, an individual spilled liquid at the hospital’s reception, identified as Zakir Saiyed, Suhana’s brother. Later, her husband, Altaf Saiyed, and others reportedly vandalized the hospital.
The Indian Medical Association – Gujarat State Branch (IMA-GSB) office-bearers wrote a letter to Harsh Sanghavi, MoS (home), urging prompt government intervention for justice in this distressing event.
