A magnificent idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled during the consecration ceremony held at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on Monday. The idol will be adorned with gold and diamond jewelry, out of these a diamond-encrusted gold crown to be placed on Ram Lalla’s head has been donated by a businessman based in Surat.
Mukesh Patel, from Surat’s Green Lab Diamonds, along with his family, presented the crown to the trustees of the Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Trust in Ayodhya.
The crown, crafted in the Diamond City, weighs 6 kg and is worth Rs 11 crore. This beautiful crown comprises 4.5 kg of gold and is adorned with numerous small and large diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphires, and other precious gems. After the finalization of the Ram Lalla idol on January 5th, two artists from the Green Lab Company in Surat were dispatched to Ayodhya to measure the idol, marking the initiation of the crown-making process.
The silver replicas presented as gifts by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to PM Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) head Mohan Bhagwat were also made in Surat. D Khushaldas Jewellers of the city crafted these 3 kg silver replicas of the temple.
