The security arrangement, for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has been divided into six zones, including Mahatma Mandir, Exhibition Centre, GIFT City, Raj Bhavan, Road arrangement, and Morcha Squad.
Various programs have been organized at the Mahatma Mandir, Sector-17 Exhibition Center, and GIFT City in the state capital, Gandhinagar, as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2024, scheduled to be held from January 9 to 12. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dignitaries from the country and abroad are expected to attend this summit. In preparation for their attendance, a smooth and comprehensive arrangement for security and safety has been made, the rehearsal of which will commence from Sunday.
A deployment of 1 Additional Director General of Police, 6 Inspector General of Police, 21 Superintendent of Police, 69 Deputy Superintendent of Police, 233 Police Inspector, 391 Police Sub InspectorI, 5520 Police, 100 Commandos, 21 Morcha Squad members, eight Qucik Response Teams, and 15 BDDS personnel are deployed. Additionally, 34 traffic cranes will patrol the city roads to ensure there is no haphazard parking.

A 3D mapping of these venues has been carried out using drones, and essential CCTV, and other cameras, and parking zone cameras have been strategically installed. Additionally, planning has been finalized for the deployment and establishment of an RFID-based system for dignitary entry and parking of visitor vehicles.
Separate control rooms equipped with CCTV for security monitoring have been set up, with a centralized command and control room established at each location. These control rooms are now operational, and repeater channels have been established to facilitate coordination between the Ahmedabad city and Gandhinagar district police.
Diversions for traffic regulation throughout the entire program have been implemented, and announcements have been made accordingly. According to the notification, heavy vehicle movement has been restricted on the road from Nana Chiloda to Vaishnodevi and from Jundal to Apollo Circle on the Ahmedabad Ring Road.
