An incident has come to light in Gothaj village of Mehmedabad where an alleged attempt was made to derail trains by placing stones on the railway track.
Stones were thrown onto the Ahmedabad-Mumbai main railway track by unknown individuals. This scheme was uncovered after a loco pilot of a goods train reported hitting something. Subsequently, the railway engineer and the railway police reached the spot for investigation.
Upon inspection, stones weighing approximately 5 to 7 kg were discovered on the track. A complaint has been registered at Nadiad Village Police Station regarding the plan to disrupt train movement by strategically placing stones on the Kheda-Nadiad railway track.
The investigation revealed large boulders on both ends of the track, which fell upon impact with the train. The railway engineer, upon finding out the plan to obstruct the train, filed a complaint at the Nadiad Rural Police Station.
