Different Drone Courses Offered by the University In the current era, drone technology is evolving. It plays a crucial role in agriculture, land surveying, mapping, disaster relief, infrastructure monitoring, wildlife monitoring, logistics, e-commerce, and medical assistance. Given the considerable employment opportunities within the drone sector across three key skills, Skill University is providing training in drone piloting, manufacturing, servicing, and diverse drone applications. The School of Drones has introduced courses in response to the growing demand.
Up to now, 292 candidates have completed the drone pilot course, with an additional 25 currently undergoing training. In Drone Manufacturing and Assembly, training has been concluded for 765 candidates, and training for 50 candidates has begun. Youth in all 33 districts of the state are currently undergoing training in drone manufacturing and assembly through ITIs.
Drone Pilot Training organized across 20 ITIs in Gujarat Drone training will be conducted at the Patan, Sabarkantha, Amreli, Navsari, Rajkot, Valsad, Banaskantha, Botad, Mehsana, Morbi, Panchmahal, Surat, Vadodara, Dahod, Kutch, Kheda, Narmada, Gandhinagar-Kalol, Gandhinagar-Swarnim Startup University, Ahmedabad-Sanand, and at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Shilaj, Ahmedabad. This initiative aims to train more than 8 thousand candidates annually.
The university will implement the ‘Drone Mantra’ model for manufacturing drones. The university employs a distinctive approach known as the ‘Drone Mantra.’ This model facilitates training in drone manufacturing and programming within a simulated working environment equipped with the latest machinery and technology in the drone manufacturing and training lab. The training involves the production of drones conforming to DGCA-approved designs, with a capacity to manufacture over 100 drones annually as needed. The ‘Drone Mantra’ model encompasses the capability to design contemporary drones and applications, allowing for the replacement of outdated models. To fulfil this vision, the university has partnered with drone manufacturers and established advanced facilities for drone training at Gujarat’s first School of Drones.
Promoting Innovation through I-KUSHAL The University is introducing the I-KUSHAL Incubation and Innovation Foundation, aiming to foster innovation, research, and development, and provide supportive guidance to startups and entrepreneurs.
